* Brunels Great Britain
The genius of Brunel turned out this masterpiece, hailed as the first propeller driven ocean going vessel in iron, in the year 1843. After a 84 years run, i.e.. In 1937, this ship was found abandoned in the Falklands from where she was towed back to Bristol and salvaged and its magnificence restored. Visitors have the good fortune to see her docked under a glass sea in the dockyard of her origin and are given the luxury of imagining the plight of travelers in the Victorian era. * Bristol City museum and Art Gallery
